More Than The Zoo In the first school holidays of 2000 we brought our kids out here to see basically the Zoo & the Observatory.
It was just a short trip of 4 days, with a day each way of travelling & 2 full days & nights in Dubbo.
If you visit us downunder & fly in via Sydney then I'd recommend hiring a car & driving up here not only to see Dubbo & its attractions, but also seeing the Blue Mtns on the way & also some other lovely country towns. Bathurst & Orange are quite different to Dubbo & lovely towns in their own right. |

We (aussiedoug & I) took our kids up here last Easter & did the Early Morning Walk. It was just brilliant & we all loved it. |
