Why I spent a lot of time in La Coruña

My father is a captain of a Spanish trawler, so he spends a lot of time in that area. He has an apartment just outside of the city.

We all used to have an apartment in the city centre, and my mother and I would go there in the school holidays.

I have been going at least once a year since I was a baby, and my last visit was when I was 12. I plan to go back there very soon.

Pros and Cons

Pros:It is sunny from March to October. There is always something to do. Also, a lot of cruise ships enter the harbour and they are beautiful to look at.
Cons:It tends to rain sometimes even when there is warm weather. Shops close from 2pm-4pm for Spanish siesta, which can be inconvenient.
In a nutshell:A Spanish treasure untouched by hoards of tourists.
