  • The Gran Canal is the main water street of Venice, is almost 4 kilometres long and 30-80 metres wide, depending of the area where your are and it pass from the northwest where there are the access by train and bus to San Mark basin. The Grand Canal banks are lined with the most beautifuls buildings, churches and palaces. Best way to meet the grand canal is taking vaporetto number one who cover the canal, from Santa Lucia Train Station to San Marks.

• The bridge, that houses two overlapping corridors, was built at the beginning of the 17th century form a design by Antonio Contin and used to serve as a link between the Old Prisons, in the Doge's Palace, and the New Prisons, situated beyond the Palazzo River.
