I was born and raised in the NY metropolitan area but now I return as a tourist and I love every visit. But for me NYC is the epitome of the cliche "a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there".

We like Bruno's enough to skip dessert at restaurants and go there for coffee and cake. Great choice.

I don't remember the mosaics or much artful about the subways. I think your "penthouse" pic is the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, a deluxe job where the Plaza is only a 4-star.
