More Than Just the Federal Government

by TexasDave - last update: May 20, 2009

There are 4 things that make Washington D.C. an exceptional place to visit:
1. Federal Government- 3 Branches of Government and all their offices.

2. Presence of World Embassies- which also means the presence of
excellent world cuisine restaurants.

3. National Museums, Monuments, most of which have free admission.
You could spend a week just at the Smithsonian Musuems
alone, and the National Gallery requires another day by itself.

4. Historical sites- Mt. Vernon, Alexandria, Ford's Theater, etc.

So even if you're not politically inclined, this is a worthwhile city to visit.
