Shiraz, whenever I hear that word it brings me instant happiness, I love this place, for a few reasons the majority of my family lives here, also the history, the climate, location, population, and the people are wonderful. Shiraz is a city in the southwest of Iran and lies below the Zagros Mountains, and is the capital of Fars Province. Shiraz once famous for there wine and grapes, but now do to the regime change, alcohol is a forbidden product in this country, now more known for its carpet production and flowers as well. We know that settlements existed in Shiraz during the Sassanid era (224 until 651). Shiraz was the capital of Persia during the Zand dynasty from 1750 until 1794. Also known as the poetic capital of Persia, today this city has many attractions, including many poets tombs, bazaars, gardens, shrines, and mosques !
