I love this picture above. I must have been only 16 years old. And I bet my mom took this picture. I’m standing at the Scripps parking lot checking out the waves. I’ve been surfing Scripps Pier in La Jolla since I was 12 and still surf it to this day, truly one of my favorite places in the world, the environment of this area is literally indescribable. I’ve been many places around the world, I’ve been a part of many different cultures out of the USA and right here at home, my style has gone through many changes over the years, but as I am realizing I keep coming back to the Southern California beach lifestyle…..tank top, shorts, sandals, burritos, friends, reggae, beer, chronic, mellow vibes, etc. Hanging out at the beach all day with friends is heaven on earth I cant get enough of the sun, water, and the girls. The beach is one of the few places where you can find people not being soo serious, that’s a great find!! Through out my life I have surfed on and off, I have never really ever stuck to it for a long period of time, but the more I think about life the more surfing comes answering. From the way surfers dress, to the way surfers live their lives, its pure genius.
