Medugorje is a small town in Bosnia Herzegovina just southwest of Mostar with quite a history. In the early 80's a small group of youths claimed to have been visited by the blessed Virgin Mary. Since then the town has been a pilgrimage destination for Catholics from all over the world. However, as fas as I know the Vatican does not yet officially recognize Medugorje as a Pilgrimage site.
