Ireland is, and always has been, my home and so it is natural that I am going to be biased in favour of our wonderful Capital City. That saying, Dublin is indeed a very lovely City with a host of pleasures for all to enjoy. What it lacks in size it makes up for in quality.
Most of the classic sites are situated within walking distance of each other, with most of them being situated on the South side of the River Liffey, which splits the City in two. |
| | Something for Everyone I have my own favourite spots in Dublin - The Four Seasons Hotel, Roly's Bistro in Ballsbridge, walking on Stephen's Green, shopping on Grafton Street. But hey, that's just me. There's something in Dublin to suit every person from every walk of life. |
| | Bohemian Dublin Dublin is Ireland's Capital City and, as it has three Universities and a number of other third level educational institutions, it is also the student and learning capital of Ireland. Thus, it has a very large late teens and early twenties population and as a direct or indirect result it also has a great bohemian culture. This would be largely centred around the Trinity College and Temple Bar City Centre areas. |

icunme Tue Sep 1, 2009 08:32 UTC Hi Gabrielle - Just outstanding page - beautiful photos but it is your attention to detail that is such a joy. Had only 1 day in Dublin enroute to Rome and must return. Grazie, Carol | volopolo Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:40 UTC Great night picture from the Bank of Ireland Building | UN1946 Tue Jul 21, 2009 12:16 UTC I visited Dublin for a couple of days in 2005 and had dinner at Peploe's. No reservations, as we did not know the place - but we wanted something special. And we got it. A bit expensive, but worth every cent. | angiebabe Sun Mar 1, 2009 17:04 UTC wow some impressive places to stay and to eat here!bit beyond my stretch the budget traveller but have enjoyed your tips thanks! |
