Paris - The Land of Romance

by dixonchan - last update: Oct 12, 2004

Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower
In Paris from 6 - 11 Nov 2004 as part of my free-n-easy Europe Trip.

This is the world famous Eiffel Tower. The view from the top is breathtaking, costing 10.50 Euros.

If you want to beat the crowd, go during weekdays at before 8:30am. Otherwise, you'll need to queue up to 2 hours just to get to the top. But trust me, the time spent is worthwhile.

Remember to make another trip at night to see the tower lighted up in yellow. Occasionally, there will be white lights sparkling all over the tower. It's a fabulous sight.

Good warning - losing one's balance on a train isn't so far fetched, so could easily hide an attempt to pickpocket. But I wonder why you felt you had to point out that the guy was black?

Hi, nice Paris tips. Not sure what you mean by 'rowdy'-never found Parisians to be rowdy. But true about pickpockets on the metro-it's their hangout. Unfriendly people can be found everywhere not just in Paris.
