Sydney - I Still Call Her Home

Sydney Sweet Sydney

Storm Over Sydney Harbour
I feel very lucky to have been born and raised in the beautiful city of Sydney. I'm very thankful to have had the chance to travel extensively, but whenever I fly back into Sydney I feel the tears well up in my eyes. There really is no place like home.

There is so much to tell you about Sydney, there is simply so much to see and do. Whether you are interested in modern architecture, glorious beaches, delicious cuisine, arts, sports, entertainment, native animals - you should never run out of things to do here. The best part about it is that there is still so much you can do either for free or for very little money.

The centre of Sydney itself is ideal for walking. It is very easy to get around on foot and you will be able to spend many a day discovering parks, the harbour, great shopping and of course all the icons Sydney is famous for.

We also have some sensational weather - both good and some not so good, but it all adds to what makes Sydney the wonderful city she is.

Not Far From Sydney

There is also so much to see only a short distance from the city. Delightful harbourside and beachside suburbs, the spectacular Blue Mountains, the laid back Southern Highlands, the Central Coast with it's lakes and beaches, the Hunter Valley vineyards and much, much more.

And Don't Forget the Remainder of NSW

NSW also offers many other lovely holiday spots which you should try and get to.

From lovely seaside towns, to mountains, plains and of course the infamous aussie outback - take your time and get out and see it all. You will not be disappointed.

Pros:"Lively atmosphere, the harbour & beaches, choice of great food options, relatively safe"
Cons:"Parramatta Road, public transport during peak hour"
In A Nutshell:"With so much to see and do, you will need much more than a week!"

I truly enjoyed your Sydney page. I missed it because of the Olympic games, but there's always another time. Happy birthday from Finland!
