A city of contrasts

by Martman - last update: Apr 23, 2006

I visited Barrie once. There was a carnival that day. I had the most wonderful day, full of activity! I went back about a year later. There was not much happening, but tranquility walking along the water. I had a wonderful restful day. I enjoyed both my visits for apposing reasons. Either way, it is worth visiting this town. I plan to visit again!
Barrie's waterfront is considered the heart of the city's tourism industry.
The population is about 150 thousand. During tourist season, this can triple!
The travelogue albums below are not of Barrie but Toronto. I use the Barrie pages as I reached my limit for Toronto.

Great new updates, Martin. Remember the Old Atrium in Cape Town? They have upgraded it to a Sports Centre. A great way to watch the game, up your way! 'njoy the next game!

So what happens around here if something really big in the sports world comes off ... say, like the Leafs making it to the Playoffs?! ;-]
