LONDON

My favorite Mime Artist at Leicester Square.
M The city is full of mime artists. I saw many while I walked through Leicester Square. In my opinion, the one above was the best there.

London is indeed an exciting city. You immediately sense that you are in Europe rather than North America. Even if you do nothing specific other than walk in the public squares in the evenings, you will sense excitement. I do suggest planning your holiday ahead of time though. Plan both what you will do and how you will get to each place. The city is large and not built like a grid. Remember, due to the city's size, to allow time for travelling between areas.

Walking the streets, one realizes how large the population is. Where ever we go, there is a crush of people.

Leicester Square is not to be confused with the much larger Trafalgar Square. Though Trafalgar Square is considered the main center of the city, Leicester Square still has plenty activity. The two sqaures are also a few minutes walk from each other.

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is arguably one of the most famour landmarks in London. I was different. Instead of photographing the square itself, I took a picture showing the number of birds above.
English countryside from above.

View from above.

This picture was taken from my window soon before landing. We have clouds and beautiful English countryside below. One of the engines of the L1011 is partially visible.
