THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF CAPE TOWN DIE PRAGTIGE STAD VAN KAAPSTAD
Cape Town is indeed the most stunningly beautiful city in the world. Do not take my word for it, ask any tourist who has visited. Some cities have a specific area known for its beaty. With Cape Town, however, the entire city is stunning! The city is one long list of areas that are stunningly spectacular!
I took the above photo of Cape Town's buildings in December, 1988. Digital cameras had not been invented. I did not use a panoramic lens either. I took two separate pictures, one of each side of the skyline. A few days ago (February, 2006) the photo place near me did a suberb job of joining the them together. They seem to fit perfectly. The new combined picture was put onto a disc for loading. |

| | CAPE TOWN Where ever you go, you are surrounded by sea and mountain. Even drives inland, away from the sea, are stunningly beautiful. The most popular time for visitors is summer from October to March and especially in December. Remember, in the southern hemisphere, summer is during this period. The city becomes extremely crowded at the end of the year as holidaymakers descend on the city during their summer school holidays.
I proudly lived in this beautiful city for 13 years, from age 6 until age 19. I am arguably a Capetonian, because when I lived in another city before, I was too young to know where I was! |
