This was my first trip to Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai. Chiang Mai tends to give me a different glimpse of Thailand altogether. Nested and protected within the mountains with temples scattered over the land, Chiang Mai is blessed with natural beauty and an indigenous cultural identity.

Personally, I like the weather in Chiang Mai in this season with breezy morning and night. Temperature was around 15degC in the morning and night when I was there. Beginning of their winter season.

We managed to cover the following places via Free&Easy mode within our 4days 3 night trip from 21th Dec 2006 to 24th Dec 2006:

1. Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep Rajvoravihara
2. Royal Flora Ratchaphruek
3. 1 day Chiang Rai trip (hot spring, Wat Chedi Luang in Mae Sai, Golden Triangle, DonSao Island in Laos, Border town with Myanmar, Arhka Hill tribe)
4. City tour via walking
