Lennox Head is situated at about the mid-way point between Byron Bay and Ballina, about 5km north of Ballina. It is basically a small seaside village but one that boasts some pretty spectacular beaches. I have to admit that Lennox Head Pub is also worth a look :)
Lennox Head's beaches definitely rival Byron's especially when Byron's seem to be full of tourists. Lennox Point has a legendary near perfect right-hand break that attracts surfers from around the world. Another unique feature of Lennox is Lake Ainsworth. This is a fresh water lake whose water has been stained by all the tea trees that surround it. The water has the appearance of Coca Cola in my opinion and is excellent for your hair and skin and a nice change from the salt water beaches. It is also an excellent place for a variety of water sports including windsurfing. Lennox Point is also a great place for a spot of hangliding.
