MY HOMETOWN!!!!!

Houston at night is a tricky place - warm, balmy, still hot enough to sweat - the air is thick and the people are friendly. There's so much to do! Go to a play, an opera, a ballet. Visit the parks and plazas and cathedrals. Walk down around the bayou and see the fountains all lit up! Colossal yet intimate, the city itself is a welcoming presence, an old friend, while still an enticing and toxicating romance beginning fresh each night she's taken out to strut her stuff.

Formerly Transco Tower, now the Williams Tower, next to the Galleria.

This shot is taken from the waterwall.

Go to this site - it's the coolest. I use it to give tours:

Summer in the City

Driving Downtown to meet Daddy after work, the shuttle swings into Houston like a spaceship. The buildings glimmer as we loop by, pillars of shimmering glass rising above the freeway, gleaming, and the entire city might be melting in the Texas heat. Houston is the most fantastic city in Texas and I want to photograph it so that everyone will think it's as beautiful as I do. I'm proud to be part of this teeming place rising out of the landscape like a bubble - a modern Atlantis! This is HOME!!

Pros:"Southern Charm in every way"
Cons:"HOT - but it gives us character"
In A Nutshell:"I'm totally not biased - it's just the best!"

I'm used to living in a hot climate (Saudi Arabia). Maybe the reason why I did not feel the heat when in Houston. But I agree, it's a great city.
