I lived in Cairo one summer and we took several falucca (arabic for sailboat) rides on the Nile at sunset - this is THE most relaxing thing you will ever do in your life. EVER.
Cairo is so fun - we went to weddings all the time and most people are friendly, especially the young people. They're really interested in becoming your friend and taking you home for dinner! Egyptian food is to die for, but bring your own water because they don't drink during meals and it's HOT outside.
I drank tap water the whole time no problem, but some members of the group... um... had problems the whole time. |

isn't this picture pleasing? Khan el Khalili, a huge bazaar, is awesome, but i like this picture better.
Notice all the natural triangles in the picture - isn't that nice??
