Miami, it lives day and night!

by Dutchnatasja - last update: Jan 31, 2006

Hello beach lovers, welcome to my page!

Miami Beach
"Nobody pretends that Miami is a city to look at; it is a city to be in."

What do I like about Miami? Well, I like a lot of things, but to name something; South Beach. South Beach is a unique area of Miami Beach, from 1st street to Lincoln Road, including Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Washington Avenue. Art Deco is marked by the pastel-coloured buildings that line South Beach and Miami Beach. But it's a lot more than just colour. If you look carefully, you will see the impressive craftsmanship that went into each building. Thanks to intensive restoration, the buildings are what you’ll see today. Bright colours and palm trees make this a real treat. Take a walk along Ocean Drive for the best view of sidewalk cafes, bars, colourful hotels and even more colourful people. Separating the sand from the traffic of Ocean Drive is Lummus Park, where people gathered under a palm tree, play some volleyball or rollerblade thru the park. The South Beach area has been in countless movies, commercials, magazine ads and modelling shoots. This is definitely a “must do” when you’re in Miami. Taste the incredible atmosphere, go to the beach, relax, and come to live at night in one of the many trendy cafes and bars.
Miami

Cruising prohibited

Not only you can people-watching but you can also car-watching. The most beautiful or extravagant cars are cruising by. Again and again and again. Just sit by one of the sidewalk cafes. Take a drink and have fun.

Key Biscayne, Sonesta Resort

What more can I say, Beach, sun, palmtrees, and a cool refreshing frozen margarita, this will make my day!!

January 2006
In about three months I’m going to Florida, and of course Miami will be one of my favourite destinations! I can hardly wait, but I’m enjoying everything already, because there is so much to read about Miami. Well, in about a few months I will let you know how my vacation was, and of course with a lot of new pictures. Hopefully you come back to check out this page!
