Catania city may on first impressions look like quite a dirty city but look past this and spend some time wandering about.

Piazza Duomo is beautiful with the church, fountain and elephant monument.
On a Saturday evening you may find about 3 or 4 wedding parties getting picutres taken here
Follow on up Via Etna which can be really busy and here you have all the designer shops with lovely little restaurants just off it
