Some said Manila is dirty, messy. I think compare to other cities in Asia, it is a good city to live. It has a long history to study. Generally, I like the nice looking churches, centuries-old religious tradition of the Filipinos. Museums and art galleries is not a bad to look around.
I highly recommend you spend a late afternoon to walk along the Manila Bay area, especially in front the Mall of Asia, the sunset is very good and romantic.
