I have lived in Liverpool since 1974 when it had not quite sunk to the depths of despair that it was to reach. Dispite that it had an appeal that led me to stay and work as a GP in Liverpool. On 6th December I launched

The purpose of my VT site is to provide an antidote to my wife's site
allaboutnice which generally ignores Liverpool and concentrates on Nice where we have a small studio.
My VT Nice travel site describes the horrors of that beautiful city and is not meant to deter tourists but prepare them, and hopefully put a boot up the backsides of the Nice city elders who are in danger of letting a jewel sink into the mire.
The VT Liverpool site will heap praise on a city that is really trying hard but I will not be afraid to bruise a few egos.
Other travel sites are a bit of self indulgence to remind me of other places, in their hundreds, but most will be omitted because of the passage of time since I visited.
Who wants to know about 1968 Brussels, 1975 Amsterdam, 1978 Hamburg or Scarborough in 1951?
Perhaps as I revisit these places I can add the odd reference as I have in Paris.
I hope to be dynamic and keep revising every tip or comment but as the site grows it will become more difficult. The standard of some of the VT sites is remarkable and I am convinced that every travel guide should have quotes and references from VT.
Keep up the good work all you contributors, I would never plagiarise anyones work and if I see a site where my words are similar I will change them. If you feel that I am copying, let me know!
