"Tashkent" Tashkent by mookoom17

was just transitting at Tashkent on my way to Istanbul....therefore, all i got to see was the transit area...not even the airport...

basically, the place is a stand alone building and no one's allowed to step out as long as you are just transitting...

Uzbekistan Airline :

from KL to Tashkent - small plane, old, shabby, not very clean...but the service is ok...(my transit - about 1.5 hour)

from Tashkent to Istanbul - bigger plane, cleaner, reasonably newer, better....(my transit - about 7 hours!)

note : try to smoke near an open window if possible...the ventilation in the transit building is pretty bad...

• Pros:smoking is allowed! (that's a big plus for me)..one will need it after all the stress...
• Cons:hot, humid, bad ventilation, crowded, congested, badly organized, long toilet queues, messy...
• In a nutshell:the lounge seats run out fast, grab one while you can or else, sleep on the floor...
