Beautiful lush mountains in the North - Northern Thailand

Exploring mountains and tribes

Sawatdii Chao... Commonly used to say hello in the North. It's a place of lush mountains and diverse cultures. Trek to beautiful waterfalls and visit the various hilltribes such as the Karen, Lahu, Hmong etc. living in the mountains. Unlike the Central part, life in the North is peaceful as its less crowded. Northern Thailand is a region not to be missed if you are planning to visit Thailand. I have been to Northern Thailand twice for long trips in 2001 and 2003.

great pictures and info:) Seems u had a nice time with the village people in north thailand, next time maybe see a shan village:) (one of my good friends is shan) hehe
