This is the famous backpacker street of Bangkok. There are many guesthouses, restaurants, pubs etc. It is a lively place even at 3am.

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is one of the most famous landmarks along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. The temple exhibit Khmer influence and the prangs of the temple are covered with thousands of broken porcelain pieces.

Wat Pho: Wat Pho (Wat Phra Chetuphon)

|
Wat Pho is officially known as Wat Phra Chetuphon. It is Bangkok's oldest and largest temple. There is a 46m long reclining Buddha in one of the larger viharns. There are several chedis with ceramic decorations.

Compared to the Chatuchak Weekend Market, there are less stalls here. But it is still a good and convenient place to shop at night. It is located just beside the Lumphini MRT Station, the new subway in Bangkok. Remember to look around and bargain before purchasing the goods here as the prices quoted at first are usually quite high and there are many stalls selling similar items.
