It's So Much So Fast

by svbuchanan - last update: Dec 20, 2005

While I have visited Abu Dhabi as well, my UAE pages will center on Dubai. This Emirate is the center or focal point of so much going on right now. From creating new islands to launching a new world economy, to building a city from sand, Dubai is on the edge of so many things.

The Edge

I came to Dubai to feel this energy I've read about. Actually I felt the energy of Dubai by reading story after story of the development going on there. The vision and momentum behind Dubai is mythical in proportions and I had to experience it myself.

Dubai astounds the open eye. What was once the edge of a world of sand, is now on the edge of so much more. Dubai is just so much... and the energy that pulses through the sky catches everyone within reach. You can't help but to realize that anything is possible in Dubai. Remember the Death Star at the end of Star Wars and how epic it felt, like a whole planet being built at the same time??? That is Dubai - only it's energy is blinding white light, not from the dark side... Never before have I seen hundreds, and I mean hundreds of buildings being built at the same time. Multi-national corportations, street vendors, entrepreneurs from the world-over, cargo workers, oil-wealthy Arabs, tourists, are all caught in it's energy...
