Coming Home Moving to DC was like coming home. In the last few years before I moved to DC several people had suggested I move there. Of all the cities in the world, of all the places in the USA, DC was the one people chose for me. Little did they know it was the only city in the USA I had considered moving to. No other place interested me. I visited twice with two different people I was dating and each time was more magical than before... low and behold it wasn't the relationships I was in, it was the city, taking hold of me with its incredible energy. Seemingly small (unlike NYC) and quaint, it felt so comfortable and like home to me. Its a city preciously balanced by reality and dreams. There are those that move here with the idealism to conquer hate and save the world, and those who come here to cut a deal. No matter which side you lean, this is the place where you can do anything... For me, its where I've made my plans and nourish seeds... |
