Swimming with dolphins

Acapulco has changed much since I left this port back in 1990. It is known for its party atmosphere with great night clubs. Acapulco used to be famous back in the 50-60's and many Mexican and American films were shot here including some with Arnold Swarchenegger. Still today, Acapulco is the weekend gateaway spot for many Mexican celebrities. The development in this port is obvious once you arrive and see American chain stores everywhere!! (and the prices are the same as in America considering a teacher's salary in Acapulco is $800 per month!!!!) Acapulco does not have the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, but it does have decent beaches like Caleta and Puerto Marquez. I personally like to go to beaches where the water is warm. Besides the nightclubs, there are several beach activities to do such as water skiing, jetsky rentals, parachute sailing, and banana rides. Acapulco has a water recreational park called El Cici. This is where I went for the swim with the dolphins. The fee is $83 for 30 minutes or $120 for an hour.
soft kisses

Kissing my prince charming

If you wear contact lenses like me, use goggles when doing this activity to protect your eyes as the water is salty and the dolphins splash some water on your face. You also get to give kisses to the dolphins, caress their belly (softly because when they tickle, they do not giggle like us, but move a lot instead. Part of your swim with the dolphins includes feeding them fish and having them give you a ride to the other side of the pool. The $83 (half an hour) fee also includes entrance to the park and access to the dolphin show.
The entrance to this park varies depending on the season. It can range from $2-$10. In addition to the entrance fee, there is an additional charge for the dolphin show and rental of lifesavers to utilize for the various water rides.

Pros:"decent relaxing and warm beaches"
Cons:"way too crowded on high seasons."
In A Nutshell:"What can I say, I was born here!"
