They come, they go and they love it! | Sunset in the DC Metro Area |
So much to do; so much time:)
I am finally done with DC, but that doesnt mean you have to be.
There is so much to explore and do.
Most of my tips will concentrate on the 'local' hangouts and cool things to do. I already assume that people who are planning to come to DC know about the museums/etc.
I am a major foodie and explorer in this city so please feel free to ask me questions about anything. I have great resources.
Did you know that DC is sinking? It was built on swampland. There are tons of places in DC to find hidden trivia. Check out under Lincolns Memorial to find information about this unique city.
You will also discover that no building is allowed to be higher than the capital. DC was built to imidate heads of state; hence way often you can get into DC, but not get out. It's a simple grid; just make a lot of left turns until you end up where you need to be.
There are many interesting neighborhoods in DC:
Adams Morgan Georgetown Capital Hill Midtown Waterfront Howard U/U St Dupont Circle
Each has its own personality and look. They are very diverse.
Enjoy!!! |
