"Polish Tatra Mountains" Tatra by slivia

Poland, southernmost... an unusual place - Tatra Mountains. For their character they resemble alpine mountains. Zakopane is the winter capital city of the country - and Krupowki Street - the very heart of it. You can't know until You spend the evening there. Nowhere will You have such a tasty trout. The local people are very friendly here and helpful.

One of the most turistic places in High Tatras - Morskie Oko, near Rysy (2499m) - invisible in the picture because of dense clouds. If You were patient and persistent enough to get there on Your feet, You may need to stay here for night which is possible in 'Morskie Oko' mountain hut. Winter is an attractive season for skiing, but not only. It is time where most tourists are skiing there, which means You can avoid crowds, You may go somewhere and see no other hiking tourist around You for miles! Great!

It can be really hot in summer. I don't mind hottnest while hiking in the highiest Tatras. And in summer Tatras are beautifull. All routes are open for tourists which is great :))
