Page under construction
Until the 20th century, Issy les Moulineaux - situated in a very windy plain (west from Paris) used to be a millers (and commercial) town.
Its name comes from those mills "les moulineaux".
Since some 10 years, the town is undergoing huge modifications - from the impoverished working class suburb to a business/office areas (and with a population mostly made of young executive couples/families).
But a point remains : the mills : nowaday Issy les Moulineaux has gotten another family of them : helicopters - it hosts the Paris'heliport.
- Pros:Becoming clean - modern
- Cons:Unpersonal
- In a nutshell:The archetyp of a sucessful parisian suburb

What an interesting place Marie. I love the faces statue! Enjoyed the read. Cheers, Ann :o)
lamp or fountain? It looks like also an electronic tooth-brush (Brown?)
Interesting destination, Marie - thanks for sharing your insight! The restaurant sounds tempting! - I hope all is well! Any plans to come to Karlsruhe??? (I will keep asking!)

Issy-les-Moulineaux is so picturesque...I would like to visit the park and do some people watching!
Good page ... Doc
Looks like a good place to explore on my next visit to Paris.. hopefully next March. Always fun to find new places.. thanks!
Marguerite de Valois and a Pope using the same building... Hmmmm. Not at the same time I suppose (thankfully)
Un endroit que je ne connais pas, sauf de nom, bien sûr !
Very nice little page!
