Issy les Moulineaux : a town under transformation Page under construction |
| | Until the 20th century, Issy les Moulineaux - situated in a very windy plain (west from Paris) used to be a millers (and commercial) town. Its name comes from those mills "les moulineaux".
Since some 10 years, the town is undergoing huge modifications - from the impoverished working class suburb to a business/office areas (and with a population mostly made of young executive couples/families).
But a point remains : the mills : nowaday Issy les Moulineaux has gotten another family of them : helicopters - it hosts the Paris'heliport. |
