Hangzhou is the capital of the province of the Grand Canal and is one of China's leading tourist attractions. It is in the northern part of Zhejiang provience.
Hangzhou is home to the famous West Lake (Xi Hu). We took a cruise on the West Lake. Flower Harbour is a real beauty. It is a park near West Lake. After the West Lake cruise it is a minute walking distance.
The famous "Long Jin Cha" comes from Hangzhou and we visited the MeiJiaWu LongJing Tea Plantation.
The Wan Song Academy is where "Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai" (the butterfly lovers) met each other during their studies.
Bring yourself back to the Song Dynasty at The Song Cheng show which cost 100 yuan. It promise to to give you 1000 years if you give them a night of your time. |
| | Flower Harbour is worth the visit esp if you love to take photos.
Bring out your camera and start flashing. |
| | Xi Hu or West Lake is very beautiful.
Look at thetrees, hills, flowers, old causeways over the lake, fishing boats, pavilions and pagodas - all within a walk of the city centre. |
