PUTRAJAYA - government administration centre We did a cyberjaya and putrajaya tour with p_yenyen (patricia).
In Bahasa Melayu, "Putra" means prince while "Jaya" means excellent or success. Putrajaya is named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra.
You will find some magnificant buildings in Putrajaya that sits on 4,931 hectares of land. Most of the government offical buildings are found here.
Putrajaya has undergone a masterplanning which designs it buildings along an axial tangent and runs from the northeast to southeast taking full advantage of the natural surroundings.
About 40% of Putrajaya is natural. Lush greenery and gardens are spread across the landscape which is enhanced by water and wetlands.
