Taipa Island is Macau’s traditional countryside where ancestral Chinese villages can be found. It is now being linked to Macau peninsula by two bridges (Friendship Bridge and Macau-Taipa Bridge) and a causeway.
The Macau International Airport is located on Taipa Island. Bus AP1 will bring you to Macau Penisula.
We took a bus from Macau peninsula to Taipa for MOP3.30 each. Buses that goes to Taipa Island are 11, 15, 22, 28A, 30, 33, 34, 35.
We followed the Taipa Village walking trail map and walk from Rua do Cunha (food street) to various attractions such as Pek Tai Temple, Tin Hua Temple, Rua Correia da Silva, Our Lady of Carmel and to the magnificent Taipa Houses Museum. |
