If you wish are a beach bum, this is a great location. You can just cross the road and have a shower from the comfort of your hotel room. The massage and manicure services are just a few steps from the hotel loby.

We wanted a room that is near to Jungceylon where we visited everyday. So we went for room hunting and found Casa Jip Guesthouse. It was operated by a lovely couple, an Italian boss with his Thai wife.

Casa Jip Guesthouse is located in the heart of Patong Beach and close to all kinds of entertainment centers, shopping areas and a min walk from the beach.

Room was big and spacious. We had the room for THB400 which was at a very good bargain. Maybe we were one of their first guest as they took over the guesthouse on 1 Jun 2007.

The service here is excellent. The staff actually hanged up all my clothings that were left on the bed. Room, bedsheets, towel were cleaned and changed daily.

The boss drove us to the airport and only charged us THB150 per person.

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and don’t mind a 5-10 mins walk to Patong Beach, then Baantonsai Garden Resort would be the choice. You will find yourself surrounded amongst greenery and garden in the south part of busy Patong. For THB370 per night for an ensuite double room, this is one of the cheapest accommodation which you can find in Patong Beach.

We stayed there for a night and found the room to be very spacious and very clean. There is a mini pool for those who wish to swim and take in the sun in peace. No more touts asking you to buy t-shirts, watches, massages, taxi, parasailing, jetski.

The Baantonsai also operates a tour desk, massage and restaurant. You practically don’t have to step out to the crowded Patong Beach.
