Arrived at Penang Airport. We queued up to purchase our taxi ticket to Ferringhi Beach Hotel for RM45.

Took a transport for $30 to George Town Penang Rd for lunch. Look out for the Yashica Sign and u will find the best Chendul store and the <Jooi Hooi> coffee shop where we have our lunch is just next to it. Tried the <best> Asam laksa, Char Koay Teow and Lor Bak.

we head for Komtar and Prangin Mall for our shopping.

Met up with Shannon at Starbucks and head to Macalister Street for our sumptous feast. We ate until we could not walk ;p

we head for Batu Ferringhi Night market for shopping. Shannon sent us back to out hotel.

Book a taxi from hotel to foot of Penang Hill for RM30. Reached the funicular railway slightly before 8am and there was already a short queue. We have to wait 30 mins for the next train to arrive. The whole journey took 30 mins and u have to change a train half way up the hill.

You will find a Indian Temple and a Mosque on top of the hill. There is a hotel up there too.

Kek Lok Si is actually walkable from Penang Hill. We saw a long traffic jam leading up to Kek Lok Si, so it is much faster if u walk. On the way up, u need to climb up long flights of narrow stairs. On both side of the stairs are shops seling lots of stuff.

The entrance fee to see the Kek Lok Si Pagoda Tower is RM2. The entrance fee to take the lift to see the Kuan Yin Statue is RM4.

Had dinner at New Lane <ask around for Sunway Hotel>. Its 5 mins walk from Komtar.

Hi! I was wondering how the highlighting turned out on your hair - I'm leaving for Malaysia/Penang soon and need to decide whether to highlight my hair in China or Malaysia... did the salon there have experience highlighting naturally brown/blonde hair?
