Bequia Island Travel Guide: 40 reviews and 92 photos

Bequia, known as “the big little island”, is the northernmost link in the Grenadine chain of islands. With about five thousand residents living on the island’s seven square miles, no one remains a stranger very long. Bequians are justly proud of their seafaring heritage, with just about every family connected to the sea in one way or another. Fisherman toil to bring ashore succulent lobster and fish, many sailing in handcrafted boats still built directly on the beach. Enjoy the quiet charm of Port Elizabeth, where the waterfront is lined with shops, restaurants serving excellent seafood and inviting cafés.
