  • The majestic Sultan Sulahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque radiates a beauty and charm that can only be appreciated if you see it with your own eyes. The blue mosque reveals other equally impressive attributes. Its main prayer hall is immense and can accommodate 24.000 worshippers. The walls and the roof are beautifully adorned with superb crafted motifs. The minarets at 142.30 meters are the largest in the world.

    National Museum: National Museum

  • The National Museum provides an in-depth look at the diversity of Malaysia’s cultures from both the people and natural aspects. Several collections show the variety of people, the dresses, traditions and their heritage that comprises of the modern state of Malaysia today.
    Other parts of the collection included pottery, musical instruments and weapons.
    The natural part of the museum is also interesting since one can learn about the vast natural diversity of this country.
    On occasions the museum houses speciality displays of both international and local nature.

    Petronas Twin Towers: Petronas Towers

  • At the moment the Petronas Towers at the worlds second largest building. The building has just been overtaken by Taipei’s 101 building and soon will be third with the building of Dubai’s Burj al Dubai.
    However the 88 floor double structure that rises 452 meters above the street level is an impressive architectural creation and the centrepiece of modern Kuala Lumpur.
    One can visit the towers up to the middle arch-way that connects the towers – however tickets are limited.
    Situated within the towers are the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Petronas Performing Art Group.

    Menara Telecommunications Tower: Kuala Lumpur Tower

  • The Kuala Lumpur Tower or Menara Kuala Lumpur is situated a top of Bukit Nanas in the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur’s hotel district. The concrete tower is 421 meters high and the tallest in Asia as well as the fourth tallest in the world. Visiting the top you can enjoy a spectacular overview of the entire city and if you wish you can also sample a meal up there in its revolving restaurant.
    The tower also serves as a transmission station for telecommunication, mobile phone networks, radio and television.

  • This monument was designed by Felix de Weldon in 1966. The 15.54 meters tall bronze monument was constructed to honour Malaysia’s fallen heroes during foreign occupation and the world wars. It is one of the tallest freestanding sculptures of the world.

  • This is a uniquely designed building that embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art. One of the most striking features is the multi fold umbrella that is the roof which symbolises the aspirations of an independent Malaysia. The 73 meter tall minaret stands strikingly against the skyline. The National Mosque is the principal house of worship for the inhabitants of Kuala Lumpur.

  • This is a historical building rich in character right in the “old” heart of Kuala Lumpur. The building was created in 1897 to house the British administration. The building is Moorish inspired and is topped by a shiny copper dome and a 40 m high clock tower.
    The building is the scenery for the National Day Parade every year on August 31st. Today the Supreme Court and the Textile Museum are at home here.

  • China Town or Petaling Street as it is properly known offers a very different character. It is a colourful street with plenty of shops, restaurants and street hawkers. Regional Chinese cuisine can be found here in the blend of shops from Chinese Medicine to “Rolex” watches.
