We did not visit Algeciras on this trip to Andalucia, but used it as the port of embarcation and return on a 2 day tour to Tangier from Torremolinos. We had previously bypassed the city some 20 years earlier when driving from Ronda to our lodging some 10 km further toward Tarifa on the Malaga Highway.

Misty Gibraltar

At that time we proceeded to Tarifa and went to the shore to look out at the strait, before going on to Sevilla.(Someday we may find and reproduce pictures and details from that trip).

Gibraltar heights

We will never get around to visiting Gibraltar. The only views we have were dim ones because of the overcast from the previous days of stormy weather. On our return trip things were only slightly better. (See our Transportation Tip here)

• Pros:An easy way to go to Tangier( and view Gibraltar).
• Cons:Do not know about sightseeing there
• In a nutshell:Maybe some other time?
