Our bus day trip from our base in Matera took us into Puglia to Alberobello and later to the Grotte di Castellana. In the town we were lectured on the construction of the trulli, visited the interior of a trullo and saw its vegetable garden and wine cellar, walked ad lib through the town, shopped , visited the "trullo-church" and lunched at a trullo-restaurant. |
