More Ancient Buildings

After starting our day at the church in Santenay (See Our Tips) we went on 3 km more to Nolay (pop. 1.6K) where we would take the D973 to our day trip destination at Autun. Nolay is a lively town and there was an outdoor place to sit and have coffee (Cafe du Centre) just off the market square and 15C church. Of course the 14C Halles is a national treasure.

Half-Timbered House

As you can see the Auberge or Cafe is an old half-timbered house and sitting outside provides a view of the main sites of the town.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:A Good Coffee Stop
  • Cons:Do Not Have to Linger Long
  • In a nutshell:It might be a good base from which to see the neighborhood.
