Welcome to the city of Bicitaxis
Afuá is a small town in the North of the Island of Marajó with a population of about 11,000 and not a single car. Everything is built on water with little to each house. If you're traveling through Pará or Amapá, Afuá is definitely worth the visit!
Getting there
we came from Gurupá and the scenery was awesome. Normally you'd come from Macapá by speedboat or boat, which is about 2.5 and 4 hours respectively.
Pros and Cons
- Pros:very pretty, no cars, nice people
- Cons:giant cockroaches
