Things To Do: Hohes Schloss
  • Tip Rating:
  • The castle Hohes Schloss was built in 1291 on the site of a Roman installation on the hill of the town. In 1322 the castle became ownership of the bishops of Augsburg. During the 1500 it was restored and it maintained unchanged the defensive character of the complex as you can still see today from the mighty boundaries.

Thanks colleague Cristian (I mean aerospace engineering) for bringing back memory about this beautiful town from a fairy tale... I guess Chaikovsky (one of your favorite composer) decided to create his Swan Lake after visiting Shwansee nearby...
