The small town of Hammerfest is located at 70.664° N 23.69° E and it claims to be northernmost town in the world with more than 5000 inhabitants. The town is also the oldest one in North Norway: it received the title of town on 17th July 1789 by the Danish King Kristian VII. Hammerfest was the first town in North Europe to use electricity to light the road!!!

In the town you can see the nice churh and the vagen.

The northernmost town in the world -- I like going to these kinds of geographic landmarks! I went to the Middle of thEarth in Ecuador and the most soutwestern tip of Africa...Norman :)
