Tromso is the seventh largest city in Norway by population, and is home of the world's northernmost university, brewery and botanical garden. The town is located about 350 km north of the Arctic circle so it has both midnight sun and polar night. You can see the Midnight sun from about May 18 to July 26 and from about November 26 to January 15 is always night. During the winter time you can see the Aurora Borealis (northern lights). The town is located in a wonderful place and it has got some interesting building that you can see like the Polarmuseet, Tromsdalen Kirke and Storstein from where you can have a wonderful wiev over the town (I didn't go there due the bad weather and low clouds :( ). Tromso is also the gateway to the Finnmark Region.

hopang Mon Jun 22, 2009 16:22 UTC Lovely Tromso page! Polaria Aquarium is home to an impressive and unique architectural building. The main square Stortorget certainly looks amazing and Storsteinen Fjellheis definitely looks interesting to explore! ~ho & pang | MarsSpirit Sun Mar 18, 2007 21:39 UTC Very interesting page! | Mikebond Thu Jun 15, 2006 10:11 UTC Altra pagina molto interessante! La Norvegia è davvero molto bella, ma dovrà fare di più per meritarsi l'amore che provo già per la maggior parte dei Paesi europei! |
