Aqaba is the only Jordanian town over the sea. The Jordan government made Aqaba as a tax free town to incentivate turisms.
It is a perfect place where you can relax in the Red Sea. There are some nice hotels and the beach and the sea is fantastic!!!!
Enjoy your journey in Aqaba.

Excellent page, Cristian, bringing back memories! They told us that their flag is the biggest in the world! A very nice photo of Eilat full of lights.
Somehow I never realized that there is a Jordanian town on the Red Sea, but now I have found it on the map. Fine photos in your travelogue and tips!
The only thing I remember about Aqaba is a beach, no shade...
so good the israeli border is now open , but impossible to go to saudi arabia with an israeli stamp
Aqaba is a place I've heard about on the news, but didn't know much about...thanks for the tour!
