"So close to Paris, and so different..." Clichy by Maillekeukeul

Clichy, where I live... for now !

Don't be so enthusiastic about this small city (about the size of any Paris' district) that is a typical suburban area close to Paris... There is nothing specific to be sightseen or visited. There are mainly huge HLM (moderate-cost rent buildings - in french, Habitation a Loyer Modere), though the average presence of green areas is more important here than in Paris. Still, when you really want to find some nice views, it's always possible...

A splendid sunset from a window in Clichy...

Another view; another sky...

We don't all live in the center of NYC, LA or Paris but still find plenty of interest. Without a homebase you do not take trips but rather just wonder...might be ok as long as you don't have a cat ;-)...Tom

You really have a good eye for pictures. I love the bridge photo with the yellow flowers in front. Also the Bic Hdq building is interesting. And an old "traction". We only see these cars in movies now :-)

Ah yes! I see now! Very, very clever! I was given the "10 cent Lesson" on the meaning of the member name! Very charming and cool twist! (and yes, I agree.....the ceiling can provide a whole other visual dimension if you focus on it !!) ;-)

Write it down with a BIC: I think the 2nd sunset reminds me of the invasion of Mars! The pics with the bridges and the flowers on the front are magnificient.. learning to get to know a bridge from beneath? hope not on a matras. We catch owls, you cats?
