"Welcome to Munich" a Munich Travel Page by cmarsek

During my 2001 summer study program I was lucky enough to spend just over two days time in Munich, Germany. We arrived in the afternoon after a morning flight from London. Since we were all very starved we set off to find some "authentic" German cuisine. That first night was BEAUTIFUL and we walked half the city enjoying the English Gardens and German street scenes. Unfortunately, when we went to bed that night the rains had moved in and we did not see the German sun again. That did not stop us from participating in the Munich 100th anniversary celebration or riding the town as a part of Mike's Bike tours or even visiting the remains of hideous past, Dachau concentration camp. (and who can forget the times spent in the Hoffbrau House!?)
