Center of the Renaissance The spirit of the Renaissance can be found around each corner in this wonderous city. Here I have captured the shadow of a replica of one of the world's most famous sculptures, Michaelangelo's "David". I highly recommend you explore these streets of this amazing city in both the daylight and after the famous Tuscan Sun has disappeared in the evening. This same city takes on such a different feel under the moonlight. |
| I conquered this dome for a wonderful view |
| | WAY UP THERE!! For wonderful pictures of Florence, I highly recommend climbing the steps up to the top of the Duomo's dome, and trekking across the river to Michelangelo's Square on the hillside opposite the center of Florence. |
| The peaceful city of Florence |
| | So peaceful Florence is really a beautiful city with several locations that offer great vantage points. I found myself lucky with this special find. This picture was taken from a window in the Uffizi Art Gallery. The city was really very clean. There is a wonderful outdoor street market just a short walk from the Duomo and each night the city comes through and sweeps and washes the streets. |
