I was a groomsmen in my friend's wedding and seven of us went to Vegas for his bachelor party...good times.
We did not stay in a casino, although we spent quite a bit of time at them. You can find some really cheap places to stay that are off the strip. The only bad thing about that is that you'll need to get a taxi for everything unless you rent a car.
I won money at every casino except the Luxor, which is the pyramid shaped one. Do not go there! None of us won any money there.
If you are college age like we were, I'd recommend hitting up the Hard Rock Casino. The pool is amazing (you can swim up and gamble at a bar) and their bikini contest was outstanding.
Supposedly, the slots down on the "Old Strip" pay out more often, but we never quite made it that far...I'll save that for another trip.
All in all, I had a really great time and might go back again. I'd recommend going at least once, if nothing more than just to say you went. |
